Caren, I could not have had a more wonderful trip, and I want to thank you for all of your planning and hard work. It was the best.

I so much enjoyed our artist and gallery tour of the New Mexico art scene area. Many of my favorite places too. Exciting to see working artists in their environment and hear their “stories” around their art history and lives. Our tour went smoothly with accommodating hotels and great meals, well selected places, good companions. What most made the difference was you, Caren: your commitment to these artists and art in general; your awareness of the the culture and history of the area; your ease in negotiating the physical environment; your sensibility about art. You were flexible and always in good spirits, especially given all the variables you were having to juggle. It was a unique and special experience.

The Woman, The Rabbit, & The Moon Ranch

Carson, New Mexico

Almost 10 years ago, Caren and her husband Bill purchased 60 acres in Carson, New Mexico (outside of Taos) almost 10 years ago. We began with an idea for an artist retreat. It’s taken almost 10 years, but we have two houses on the property now, one of which is for rent on Airbnb. We are currently construction another studio on the property. Another home will eventually be built and once that’s completed, small casitas, studios and sleeping cottages will be added for guests.

The ultimate goal is to have artists use the property as a respite from the pressures of everyday life. Artists will be able to rent short or long term on the land to work in seclusion (or with other artists), teach/take lessons, work in the privacy of a high-desert oasis, and show work in an artist "co-op" on the land.

I personally invite you to visit The Woman, The Rabbit & The Moon Ranch someday. Take in the stars, breathe the clean air, enjoy the sunshine, and partake in a spiritual and artistic journey in New Mexico, The Land of Enchantment.
